Finally getting around to sharing our Cozy Lisbon Airbnb Tour.
Being that we’re now living in Portugal, exploring our new home country has been exciting.
We live about an hour north of Lisbon in a small Town of Foz do Arelho (which I should definitely write about soon).
Being that Travel is somewhat limited because of the Pandemic, we’ve been slowly getting our feet in the water by checking out surrounding cities.
We rented a beautifully decorated and well located in the city of Lisbon for a few nights and it more than fulfilled our needs.
As a family of 3 (Two adults and 1 child), who usually sleeps in a bed with us anyways – we were surprised he was able to sleep in the little bed that was in the living room.
Giving mom and dad ample space in the bed (I’d forgotten what it felt like to actually sleep without getting kicked in the night) But that’s another story – the joys of co-sleeping.
The Lowdown on our Lisbon Airbnb Stay
The Bedroom
I love the mix of old with new, the bed was comfy and beautiful – there’s an AC unit in the bedroom which can cool down the entire place. Which was a bonus.
The crawl space beneath the stairs to the right is the closet, worked for us but if you have a lot of things it might not suffice.
Living Room/Extra Bed
As you can see the extra bed/sofa is right off the bedroom which is why we were able to sleep comfortably while our kiddo still being able to see us.
The balcony doors are soundproof, if there was any outside noise we didn’t hear it.
Not the case for anything in the building itself – because of its age and I believe this used to be one apartment only that was converted into separate smaller apartments for rent.
One of our early mornings there, we were woken up by a lot of back and forth walking – I believe they might have been checking out and had a lot of luggage. But it wasn’t a deal breaker.
Kitchen/Dining Area
Everything we needed for our stay in Lisbon was in this kitchen.
They were kind enough to include a little welcome gift of wine, cheese and local bread of which we devoured soon after.
Eggs, ham and beer were also in the fridge. There was a couple of coffee pods for the coffee machine as well. Seasonings, olive oil and vinegar were in the cupboard.
Bathroom
There’s a bathroom off to the side of the kitchen, size was great for our needs.
Not pictured to the left, there’s a washing machine in case you need clean clothes. (There wasn’t any washing detergent so you’ll need to bring/buy you own to use).
Lisbon Streetview
This Lisbon Airbnb was very well situated, walking distance to main tourist spots, restaurants, stores and coffee shops.
In fact, we had a wonderful dinner right below our apartment. There was also a cafe plus some small stores right off our door.
Other Important Information about our Lisbon Trip
Parking
There wasn’t any parking available for the apartment itself, since it’s a very tiny street. Lisbon doesn’t have a whole lot of parking spaces after all.
However, our host had a small discount to share with us for the underground city parking lot which was maybe a 4-6 minute walk from the apartment.
