Hey Friends,
Let’s get Cozy! So it’s autumn in Florida, we’ve gotten a few colder days here and there but we’re are still reaching 80 degree weather most days. In preparation for the cold front coming next week, I’ve compiled a list of the Best Girly Movies of All Times to cuddle up on the couch when the weather gets cold just perfect for Girls Night! Before you start browsing through your favorite movie provider, and never pick anything…Check out these favorite movies, you might just find a favorite of your own!
I love watching movies, especially dramas, romantic comedies and movies set back in the day. I may or may not own the DVD’s to several of these (yes, I’m old)
Favorite Girly Movies of All Time
Pride and Prejudice
There are different versions of this movie, I do have a soft spot for the 2005 version with Keira Knightly as Elizabeth and Matthew Macfadyen as Mr.Darcy. This adaptation of Jane Austin’s novel is one of my top movies of all times, it’s fitting that it would make this list. If reading is your thing and you haven’t read this classic, you should also cuddle up on the couch for this one. Movie | Book
Steel Magnolias
We’re going back in time for this one, this film debuted in 1989 and it’s a become a cult classic. Set in the south, with a louder than life female cast, you’ll be sure to have a good time watching it. Fave quote from the movie “I’m not crazy, M’Lynn, I’ve just been in a very bad mood for 40 years!” Movie
The Notebook
I couldn’t make a list and not mention another favorite of mine. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched this movie. Noah & Ally will forever reign in my heart. The book is also a great read, as well as the sequel called The Wedding. Movie | Book
Something’s Gotta Give
I would say this is my top movie to watch, I will even put it on as background noise. I’m assuming because it’s so familiar to me now, it comforts me? Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson star in this fantastic movie. I also am a big fan of the movie soundtrack. If you watch anything off this list, let it be this one. Movie
Meet Joe Black
A younger Brad Pitt… I should really leave it at that. This isn’t what I’d call girly, but I felt it needed to be in this list. Brad Pitt’s character is “death”, he takes human form to Take Anthony Hopkins character away. This movie is neither scary or a thriller, it’s actually a beautiful romance and I love to watch this occasionally. I don’t want to give anything away, just go watch it. Movie
You’ve got Mail
A classic Meg Ryan & Tom Hanks movie, it’s so fun to watch it now and see how much the internet has changed! If you haven’t seen it in a while, it would be perfect to watch as a family under the blankets. Movie
