I don’t know how many times I’ve said this since becoming a mother. I’m sure there are millions of us out there saying I got it right now. What is it about becoming a mother that makes us masochists? Do we have to do it all? To the point of exhaustion?
There are obviously still hilarious moments but now it’s just tired and cranky on top of please let this day end soon. I’ve managed to make life a bit easier making some changes with I talked about in my previous post that you can read here.
I gotta tell you, it’s been a tremendous improvement. I’m still tweaking some things around but for the most part. I’m more relieved.
But going back to doing it all. So, why do we do this to ourselves? It’s not like we don’t want desperately need the help. The more I think about it, the more it pains me to think that so many of us are suffering in silence. Just hoping someone will notice and take charge. I know for me having to ask someone makes me feel weak. So I don’t. I do it all.
If you’re reading this and can help a fellow mother out even if it’s for a few hours. DO IT! I hope I’m able to do something good for another mom out there. I know in the midst of all we have going, it’s difficult to stop and do something for someone else. But imagine if we all did it? We wouldn’t need to be bending over backwards to get all of our errands run. We could improve the lives of many mothers including our own lives.
I would say that would make us all happier mothers. I read a blog post the other day and it really touched me, you can read it here, it’s titled Why Women ROCK. It was about a woman who has been having health issues and her friends got together and decided to love on her. With jammies, slippers and curlers in their hair, they showed up their friends home and cleaned her house! Stocked here fridge with yummy dinners for her family, did the laundry, wrote inspiring notes for her and more. I mean, I couldn’t imagine how grateful she was. This was just beautiful and we need more women like these.
We do rock ladies, so instead of trying to do it all. Do something for someone else. You just never know who’s waiting to love on you.
I hope you’ll take part in this, if you post about it and #whywomenrock. I would love to read and share.
As for me, I’m going to plan something for an unsuspecting mom. I can’t wait to see the smile on her face.
Thanks for stopping in!

wow I can imagine the woman's face when she saw her friends doing that wonderful gesture of love. That is really sweet and like you said we need to help each other out.
